This December, Wildcat Hills SRA invites families of all ages to embrace the season with a fun and festive hike through nature! Whether you’re an experienced adventurer or a first-time hiker, our Holiday Hike promises a day full of surprises, holiday cheer, and opportunities to make lasting memories in the fresh winter air.

What to Expect:   

A Scenic Trail: Discover the sights and sounds of the season. Enjoy a .5-mile hike through the winter landscape on uneven terrain. Perfect for all skill levels!

Festive Fun: Along the way, enjoy holiday-themed activities, nature games, and even a special guest or two (you never know who might be wandering the trail).

Hot Cocoa & Cozy Vibes: After your hike, warm up by the fire with hot cocoa and cookies – the perfect way to end your adventure with family and friends.

Important Details:

Event Cost: FREE, but a Nebraska State Park permit is required. Daily permits are available in the park drop boxes with exact change or check ($7 for Nebraska vehicles, $14 for non-Nebraska vehicles).

When & Where: Meet at the Wildcat Hills Nature Center on December 13 at 1 p.m. MT.
