Every July, Gering, Nebraska revs up for Oregon Trail Days. This four day event brings families, community, and heritage together for events, shows, food, music, vendors, and much more.
Robidoux Rendezvous is a gravel bike race designed with fun, safety, big landscapes and historical significance in mind. The bike is the absolute best way to immerse yourself in this history as you pedal along the same path emigrants traveled long ago. 25-mile, 47-mile, 67-mile and 100-mile courses start/finish at Five Rocks Amphitheater in Gering.
During the holiday season, the Gering Merchants invite you to bring the whole family to downtown Gering. You’ll be able to see live reindeer at the Village, tour the village houses, take pictures with Santa, and receive candy-goodie bags for the kids. Don’t forget the free hot chocolate and cookies for all who attend!
High Plains Auto Club presents the annual Classic Car Show. Over 500 classic cars on display from enthusiasts from eight states. Cruise night, fun runs and classic car show and shine day. The event is free to the public at Five Rocks Amphitheater in Gering.
